Spun carries a broad range of tools to aid your crafting, from basic to refined. 
We also strive to bring you goods from small makers that you won't find just anywhere, some of them unique to us.

Needles and Hooks

Spun features a selection of knitting needles and hooks that is as broad as our space allows.  Our staff is happy to help you match needle or hook to project and personality, so please be sure to ask for assistance if you're a beginner or feel unsure about which would best suit. We offer circular knitting needles from Addi (Turbos and Rockets), ChiaoGoo (Bamboo and Red Lace), Knitter's Pride (Dreamz and Karbonz), and Lykke.  We also carry a broad range of straight and double-pointed needles, as well as Addi's Flexi Flips. Our crochet hook selections include goods from Addi, ChiaoGoo, Susan Boye, and Bryspun.

We also offer needle and hook sets, including: Addi Clicks (Turbos, Lace/Rockets in 4" or 5" tips, and Olivewood); Addi Colours (crochet hooks), ChiaoGoo (SPIN bamboo, TWIST Red Lace in 4" or 5" tips, Minis, and Shorties0; Knitter's Pride (Dreamz—interchangeables, crochet hooks, Tunisian crochet hooks, double-points, straights and Karbonz—interchangeables, double-points); Lykke (interchangeables with 3.5 or 5" tips, straights).


Notions, Project Bags, and more

We have a full selection of knit and crochet notions and carry a wide variety of project bags including Twig & Horn, Handmade by Whoo, Mighty Wooly, Binkwaffle, Splityarn, Magner & Co. and Ann Arbor’s Super Stitch Girl as well as needle cases and bags from Della Q. We also offer handmade wooden yarn bowls from Andrew Scott of Highland, MI and ceramic yarn bowls from Mud Muse in East Lansing. We carry handmade shawl pins, sticks, and cuffs from Bonnie Bischoff, JUL Designs, Whimsy & Co., and Clothezures. David Shepherd of West Findlay, OH, makes our yarn caddies and darning eggs. We have a carefully curated selection of books and many periodicals including Laine, Amirisu, Making, Pom Pom Quarterly, and the Mason-Dixon Field Guides.
