Quick Socks (2 weeks)

Interested in making some quick warm socks to keep your feet (or your loved ones’ feet!) warm this winter? Join Brandon to make Kim Swingle’s “Hyak” socks (from a pattern provided by Spun), and learn the basics of traditional sock structure and construction in the process. You’ll finish class with a pair of socks in hand (or well on the way) and with the skills to make another pair or two before the holidays.
Pre-requisites: Participants should be familiar with the following: the long-tail cast-on, knitting, purling, and binding off.
   • Two skeins of Cestari Traditional Collection, purchased from Spun, in contrasting colors
   • Size US4 double-point needles (set of five)
   • Size US5 double-point needles (set of five)
   • Darning or tapestry needle
   • Scissors
