Woolfolk Fall 2017 Trunk Show

Woolfolk yarn arrived in the shop in August to the expected (and deserved) oohs and aahs. Now, Woolfolk's most recent design collection is coming to Ann Arbor for a few days to provoke even more admiration.

Woolfolk’s FW17 Collection, inspired by the majestic landscape of the Pacific Northwest, features a soft color palette and Woolfolk’s signature modern simplicity.

We'll have the show up in the shop for just a week. Don't miss it!

Dal • PULLOVER • Designed by Sarah Solomon
This boxy pullover has lovely drape and a nonchalant silhouette for easy wearing; a simple purl chevron texture creates flattering lines on the body and sleeves.

Hvide • PULLOVER • Designed by Ankestrick
Simple details--a textured yoke, a scalloped hemline, and a beautiful shoulder--take the classic v-neck to a new level. The easy fit and lightweight fabric of Tynd make this a year-round wardrobe staple.

Høj • HAT • Designed by Olga Buraya-Kefelian
Brioche ribs meander around the circumference of this clever topper. A flexible tubular cast-on gives a clean line at the brim; worn cuffed or not, it’s a lovely project to give or keep.

Gard • SHAWL • Designed by Melanie Berg
This oversized wrap, beautifully worked in Tynd, has a unique allover pattern of triangles articulated by a twisted stitch and a small cable. Once again Melanie Berg makes simple look lush and elegant.

Gren • MITTS • Designed by Olga Buraya-Kefelian
Branching brioche ribs wrap the wrists of these fingerless mitts. With three sizes included in the pattern, these mitts are a wonderful option for gifting and a fun way to learn or perfect your brioche technique.

Vejkryds • CARDIGAN • Designed by Woolfolk Design Team
Exaggerated intersecting lines on the back highlight the unusual sleeve shape of this modern cardigan, knit in Far. The abbreviated length and clean collar line make this a year-round layering staple.

Vandre • PULLOVER • Designed by Lori Versace
Lots of positive ease and a loose, tall turtleneck will make this the sweater you won’t want to take off. Brioche rib makes an amazingly soft and light fabric, which is worked in pieces and seamed for stability.

Omvej • COWL • Designed by Olga Buraya-Kefelian
Three skeins of Far are worked in branching brioche rib to make a cowl that is almost like wearing a hug. Fabricated in the round, this cowl can be worn singly around the shoulders or doubled up for optimum coziness.

Kame • COAT • Designed by Woolfolk Design Team
A classic raglan design is made modern with garter stitch in bold and cozy Hygge. Stockinette panels delineate and lend structure to this seamless garter coat; its timeless style can be worn with anything from jeans to dresses.

Skala • SHAWL • Designed by Melanie Berg
This generously proportioned wrap is worked from the upper left tip to the right edge, with increases along the upper edge. While the textured pattern looks complex, this shawl is surprisingly easy to knit, incorporating simple techniques to create a wavy effect.

Rejse • PULLOVER • Designed by Woolfolk Design Team
Worked in cozy Far, two-by-two ribbing creates flattering lines across the body of this pullover. This pullover is seamed at the sides for stability, while its sleeves are picked up and knit down to the wrist, making it easy to adjust the fit.

Læne • SHAWL • Designed by Antonia Shankland
This shawl embodies Woolfolk's idea of modern lace. A clever tilting block pattern with graduated spacing dances across this elegantly proportioned wrap, creating a timeless piece that you can layer all year.
