Beginning Knitting (4 weeks)

Thursdays, October 3,10,17, & 24, 6-8pm • $125
Teacher: Sunday Holm

Learn the basics of knitting in four two-hour sessions with Sunday Holm! With Sunday’s help, you’ll learn how to cast on, how to bind off, and how to knit and purl using both the Continental (picking) and the British (throwing) methods. You’ll finish the course with a pair of fingerless mitts that you can keep for yourself or gift to a loved one. Sunday will also cover a bit of the history of knitting, the importance of gauge, how to “read” your knitting, and common mistakes and how to fix them. This course features plenty of repetition and time to practice, ensuring that you’ll leave with the skills to knit with confidence.
