Tunisian Crochet (2 weeks)
Saturday, November 16 and 23, 5-7pm • $68.50
Teacher: Brandon Rumsey
Tunisian crochet! A further crafting frontier! Tunisian crochet, popularly known as Afghan crochet, expands the boundaries of what you expect from crochet by combining knitting with crochet, yielding a textured, durable fabric with depth and character that’s perfect for blankets and wearable accessories. In the first class, Brandon will teach you several fun Tunisian crochet stitches, and in the second you’ll get started on the “Lake Pepin Blanket,” in the process learning new techniques that will stretch your crafting repertoire considerably. You might leave class hooked! (Forgive the pun! Who could resist?)
Pre-requisites: No knitting experience is required. Participants should be comfortable chaining with consistent tension and confident making basic stitches such as single, half-double, and double crochets. It is highly recommended that participants have read a crochet pattern, but not required.
