Thrummed Mittens (2 weeks)
Fridays, January 13 and 20 • 12-2pm • $70

Thrummed mittens are magically warm, lined with tufts of wool that block out the sneakiest of cold, winter winds. This class is appropriate for all skill levels, whether this is your first mitten or your fiftieth. Class fee includes the combed top that will be used for your thrums. Pattern provided.
Pre-requisites: Students should know the long-tail cast on, and how to knit and purl and knit in the round.
Pre-class homework: With smaller needles, CO 36 sts, join in the round, and knit 2x2 ribbing for three inches.
yarn: worsted/aran weight yarn; we recommend Washtenaw Wool Co Huron in a semi-solid.
needles: US 6 & 8 DPNs (or circulars if you are comfortable substituting)
notions: stitch markers, measuring tape, scissors, tapestry needle
