Please join us this fall for a very special master class with expert designer, knitter, and instructor Julie Hoover. To celebrate Spun’s launch of Woolfolk, Julie is offering master class participants their choice between two patterns that she will be releasing later this fall, one in Luft and the other in either Sno or Tynd. Like all of Julie’s designs, both these pullovers (which are not yet available to the public) are elegant, understated, wearable, and meticulously designed. Julie will walk you through each point of construction, providing eighteen hours of detailed instruction covering everything you might think of--gauge swatching, reading your knitting, selvedge edges, blocking, seaming, finishing, and so on--with time allowed for practice and questions and for a celebration of all the finished pieces at the workshop’s end. You’ll finish this master class with an exceptional garment and a newfound mastery of the craft.
Prerequisites: Participants should be intermediate to advanced knitters who are familiar with all basics of knitting, including cabling and reading charts. Julie also asks that participants block out extra time on Sunday afternoons, in case class runs long.
Materials:
• Woolfolk Luft, Sno, or Tynd sufficient for your chosen pattern and chosen sweater size, purchased from Spun.
• Needles for swatching (in sizes appropriate for your chosen pattern)
• Darning or tapestry needle
• Cable needle
• Stitch markers in two colors
• Stitch holders (or waste yarn)
• Scissors
• Blocking wires or T-pins (necessary for project but may be left at home)
