If you’ve not yet seen a pattern that’s convinced you to learn short rows, meet your downfall! Andrea Mowry’s stunning “Goldfinch” uses short rows to create cunning angled sections of stripes and mesh lace within a wearable asymmetrical triangle shape. Join Lynn and Lizzie for a workshop that will walk you through each section of this fun pattern, and add the infamous wrap-and-turn to your knitting repertoire.
Pre-requisites: Participants should be familiar with the following: the long-tail cast-on, knitting, purling, and basic increases and decreases.
Materials:
• 3 skeins of sport-weight yarn, purchased from Spun (one skein each of three different colors that coordinate well). (We recommend Primrose Yarn Co. Meera, Berroco Quechua, Why Knot Spunky, or Malabrigo Arroyo.)
• 32” size US6 circular needles
• Stitch markers
• Darning or tapestry needle
Maximum number of students: 7
