If you have some basic crochet skills under your belt and find it's time to show them off by making something you’ll bring along everywhere, this class is for you. Churchmouse’s “Oval Crocheted Bucket Bag” is capacious and sturdy and may be worked up as either a drawstring bag or a backpack, in one color or two, in a smaller or a larger size. You’ll work with Brandon on the smaller of the two sizes, to get your feet wet, and you’ll go home with the skills and the pattern to make as many bags as your heart desires, for yourself and for all your bag-craving loved ones. (The pattern also includes instructions for making nifty crocheted pouches to hold smaller items safely.)
Pre-requisites: Participants should be familiar with the following: chain stitch, single crochet, crocheting in the round.
Materials:
• Two skeins of Berroco Pima 100, purchased from Spun. (Note: If you wish to make a two-color bag, pick up a third skein of your chosen yarn in a contrasting color.)
• Size US E crochet hook
• Size US F crochet hook
• Darning or tapestry needle
• Removable stitch markers
Maximum number of students: 7
