Introduction to Lace (2 weeks)

If you’re ready to tackle lace, this class is here to help! Lynn and Lizzie will lead you through making Shannon Cook’s adorable “Downton Cowl,” which features a simple but graphic zig-zag lace pattern that is perfect for beginners. Along the way, you’ll learn how to follow both written and charted lace instructions and pick up all the necessary tricks for making lace projects shine.
Pre-requisites: Participants should be familiar with the following: the long-tail cast-on, knitting, purling, and working in the round.
Materials: 
• 1 skein of DK weight yarn, purchased from Spun. (We recommend Madelinetosh Tosh DK, Anzula Cricket, or Black Trillium Sublime.)
• 24” size US8 circular needles
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle
