Peerie is Brooklyn Tweed’s first fingering-weight, worsted-spun yarn and was designed with colorwork in mind. Peerie, a Shetland word meaning “little,” is a name knitters have traditionally used to refer to small bands of colorwork patterning that provide breathing room for larger motifs in traditional Fair Isle knitting. The inaugural Peerie collection boasts inspired designs from Jared Flood, Julie Hoover, Heidi Kirrmaier, and Irina Dmitrieva. These pieces show off Peerie’s range of hues and values and its superior drape and stitch definition.
