Did you know there is a new yarn company in SE Michigan? Washtenaw Wool Co. was started by three fiber fiends, Heather, Michelle and Carol, who moved from spinning and knitting together to building a budding local business. As they tell it, "We pour our love of making into technical dye challenges and sourcing US and Michigan wool and alpaca to delight local knitters and crocheters."
We thought that throwing a little party would be the best way to introduce our guests to their beautiful hand-dyes so Friday, June 3, we're excited to have them in the shop. They will be here all day and we'll have a special reception from 4-6pm. Think "happy hour" ;)
Starting June 3, we'll be carrying WWC yarn in the shop but this is a chance to see a much wider variety of bases and colorways than we can fit in our small space (and a chance to meet this great folks as well). After Friday, they have to pack up their display and get it on the road to their next stop (the Ypsi Farmer's Market on Saturday morning).
Don't miss it!
