Double Knitting: “Kitty Crowd Cowl”
Wednesday, October 9, 11:00–2:00 pm • $60
Teacher: Cassondra Rizzardi
Double knitting allows you to knit the front and the back sides of a project simultaneously, creating smooth, reversible stockinette with reversed images on both sides. Designer Cassondra Rizzardi will walk you through the process, showing you the fundamentals of double-knitting, including working with two colors simultaneously and reading a chart. Bonus: Double-knit fabric is cozy and sturdy, so your cowl will stand up to block the wind and keep you toasty. Extra bonus: Cats! You’ll be making Cassondra’s cute “Kitty Crowd Cowl”! If you’re not a feline fan, Cassondra will provide a different chart with similar graphic punch.
