Crochet for Kids (3 weeks)

Thursday, Oct 13, 20 & 27 • 4:30-6pm • $60
Teacher: Snow Pedersen

This class is for kids who want to learn how to crochet, and have no prior experience. We will learn how to make a small pouch with an optional strap, closed with an antique button. The first session will be spent learning the basics of crochet: how to hold the hook and yarn, how to start a project, and how to make basic stitches such as chains and single crochets. The second session will be spent continuing the pouch and cementing the things we've already learned. Lots of practice! In the third session, we will finish the project, sew on the button, and add an optional handle if there's time. Every child will go home with a cute little pouch and a crochet hook.
Ages: 8-13
Materials: One skein of durable, worsted weight yarn and a button. (A crochet hook will be provided for you to keep!)
Maximum number of students: 5
