Fair Isle Hat (3 hours)

Ready to take on Fair Isle? Using a straightforward hat pattern (provided by Beth!), with your choice of chart (provided by Beth!), you’ll learn how to knit using both hands at the same time, weaving in your floats at the back of the work for a smooth finish. 
Pre-requisites: Participants should be proficient at the following: casting on, knitting, purling, simple increases and decreases, and knitting in. They should also be familiar with (not proficient at) knitting using both left-handed (picking, Continental) and right-handed (throwing, British) methods.
Homework: Participants should come to class with 1” of 2X2 ribbing (*K2, P2, repeat from *), worked in the round on 96 stitches, in either color.
Materials:
• 
Two skeins of worsted weight yarn in highly contrasting colors, purchased from Spun
• 16” size US8 OR 32” size US8 circular needle (for magic loop)
• Removable stitch markers
Optional: A Fair Isle pattern of the participant’s choice. (A pattern will be available for participants who don’t have one they wish to bring along.)
