Advanced Crochet (2 weeks)

Have the basics? Want to learn more? We'll cover advanced techniques in crochet including some or all of the following (class time permitting):
- Crochet chart reading
- How to follow and make fancy pattern stitches
- Double chains and single crochet foundation rows
- Crochet cables - front and back post crochets
- Double crochet edge stitch
As we explore these techniques we'll get to work on the Super Star Afghan. Students can decide whether to crochet the whole Afghan or fashion it into a small piece that works as a trivet or table cover.
Pre-requisites: Basic crochet skills including singles, doubles, triples and how to read a basic crochet pattern (text pattern).
Materials: a crochet hook (sizes H, I or J appropriate for worsted weight yarn), a worsted weight yarn with a good amount of spin.
