Beginning Knitting (4 weeks)

Thursdays, May 18-June 8 • 6-8pm • $120
Teacher: Sunday Holm

Learn the basics of knitting in four two-hour sessions with the amazing Sunday Holm. We’ll cover casting on, the knit and purl stitches using both the Continental (picking) and the American (throwing) methods, and binding off. You’ll finish the class with a pair of fingerless gloves that you made yourself. We’ll also cover a bit of the history of knitting, the importance of gauge, how to "read" your knitting, and common mistakes and how to fix them. This course features plenty of repetition and time to practice with Sunday, to ensure that you leave with the skills to knit with confidence.
