Beginning Crochet (3 weeks)

Thursdays, June 30 and July 7 & 14, 12-2pm • $90
Teacher: Nicole Putala

Learn the foundational skills for crochet. The objective is to be a confident crocheter. We’ll cover everything from how to hold your hook, to how to make a slip knot and begin your piece with a chain, and then move to basic stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet. Nicole will be there to answer all your questions and help you practice, practice, practice. Using the skills you learn, you’ll make a crocheted e-book/tablet cover.
Pre-requisites: None!
Materials:  One skein of Spun fingering/dk/worsted weight yarn (not to fuzzy and not super dark or super light, as these choices are not preferable for beginners), G or H size crochet hook, tapestry needle, length and width of  E-reader/Table/iPad (or better yet, bring it!)
